TEDx is a global initiative inspired by the mission of TED: spreading ideas that inspire curiosity, innovation, and positive change. Through independently organized local events, TEDx brings communities together to experience TED-style talks, live speakers, and meaningful conversations designed to spark deep discussion and human connection.

Each TEDx event is organized by local teams and tailored to its community, creating spaces where diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences can be shared. Combining TEDTalks videos with live presentations, TEDx events encourage participants to engage with important topics across science, technology, culture, education, sustainability, social issues, and the arts.

While TED provides overall guidance and licensing for the TEDx program, each event operates independently, allowing organizers to create unique experiences that reflect local interests and ideas. The “x” in TEDx signifies that these events are independently organized under TED’s framework and guidelines.

TEDx has become a worldwide platform for storytelling, innovation, and community dialogue, helping ideas reach audiences across cultures and inspiring action at both local and global levels.
