Religion and Renewable Energy
How can religious traditions inspire action on renewable energy and environmental sustainability? In this plenary session from the Interfaith Climate Change & Renewable Energy Conference, faith leaders and environmental thinkers explore how spiritual values can guide the transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
The panel brings together diverse religious perspectives on renewable energy, climate responsibility, and the role of faith communities in addressing the global ecological crisis. Speakers discuss how principles such as stewardship, compassion, responsibility, and care for creation can motivate individuals and communities to support sustainable solutions.
The session features His Excellency Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of Jerusalem and a senior Catholic religious leader in the Holy Land; Yasmin Barhum, Facilitator at Living in the Levant; and Rabbi Yedidya Sinclair, Senior Rabbinic Scholar at Hazon. The discussion is moderated by Rabbi Yonatan Neril, Founder and Executive Director of the Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development.
