Course Description
In this course, we will examine the intersections between theology, economy, and sustainability. Creation can be conceptualized as a divine economy with complex interactions where ‘oikos’ refers to relations both in economy and ecology. In fact, we will be unable to live more sustainably on this planet without finding ways to bring the ‘households’ of economy and ecology into greater cohesion. We will explore biblical and historical resources, theological and interreligious resources for the construction and implementation of sustainable theologies and practices.
