The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD) reveals the connection between religion and ecology and mobilizes faith communities to act. ICSD works on a global basis, with current engagement in Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Europe.
UN Climate Conference
The first-ever Faith Pavilion at a climate COP was a big success, with 70 sessions and 325 speakers, including major religious leaders, government ministers, and Indigenous people.
The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD), in collaboration with multiple partners, has co-organized twelve interfaith environmental conferences since 2011.
The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development organizes interfaith panels involving clergy or religious personalities from multiple faiths. The panels enable groups of students, tourists, or others to hear varied perspectives from distinguished people of faith living in the Jerusalem area.
In cooperation with faith institutions in Africa and a renewable energy developer, ICSD works to deploy solar and wind fields to bring electricity to Africans, reduce indoor air pollution and deforestation, and curb climate change.
