Archbishop Welby’s comment leads to development of African solar project
A comment made by the Archbishop of Canterbury during his visit to the Holy Land in April, has resulted in a pioneering green energy project for churches in Africa. During his two-week visit, Archbishop Justin met Rabbi Yonatan Neril, the founder and executive director of the Jerusalem-based NGO, the Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD).

ExxonMobil concede defeat in climate change battle with Church of England
The global oil giant ExxonMobil have finally caved in to shareholder demands – led by the C of E’s Church Commissioners – to set out how the business will be affected by efforts to halt climate change. The announcement came two years to the day after the breakthrough Paris agreement on climate change.

16th Century Scholar Warned of Hurricane Irma Through Hebrew Riddle
Rabbi Yonatan Neril, who has a BA and MA from Stanford University with a focus on global environmental issues, notes in Huffington Post that the leading 20th century mystic Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi Ashlag wrote, “God established the laws of nature in the world, and a person or society that transgresses one of these laws will be punished through nature. He likens nature to a judge that God created to punish those who violate the laws of nature.”
